You are listening to Time to Read, a Winnipeg Public Library podcast book club.  We are recording today from the Millennium Library, located in Treaty One Territory, the home and traditional lands of the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe), Ininew (Cree), and Dakota peoples, and in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. Our drinking water comes from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, in Treaty Three Territory.

Creators and Guests

Dennis Penner
Host
Dennis Penner
Dennis works in the ideaMILL and while he prefers mysteries and non-fiction, he’s open to reading almost anything. He’s also the editor/producer, so he can edit the show to make himself sound smarter than he really is.
Toby Cygman
Host
Toby Cygman
Toby is an Outreach Librarian and recovering book snob. She mostly reads literary fiction but has been known to dabble in non-fiction and the genres.
Trevor Lockhart
Host
Trevor Lockhart
Trevor is the Branch Head of the Louis Riel library. He tends to be a slow reader but a fast talker, so it all evens out.
Susie Moloney
Guest
Susie Moloney
Susie Moloney is our Writer-in-Residence for 2023-2024. Susie Moloney has three decades of experience in writing and publishing and is an award-winning author of several novels, including the world bestselling A Dry Spell. In 2015, she branched out into film and television. Her first full-length feature film (Bright Hill Road) premiered in theatres in 2020, and a feature length production of ROMI just premiered on August 7 at the prestigious Fantasia Festival in Montreal. Moloney continues to write narrative fiction and provide mentorship and guidance to writers in all genres. She served as the 2020 Writer-in-Residence at the Edmonton Public Library.
