Evvie married her high-school sweetheart, but on the day that she plans to take her life in a new direction, her husband is killed in a car accident. All of a sudden, Evvie is forced to (you guessed it) start over.
- The book’s theme “starting over” is one we’ve seen before in books, movies, songs. Can you relate? Do you have a favourite character, book, song that depicts someone successfully (or not) starting over?
- Evvie Drake takes a break from speaking to her mother. Have you ever needed a “break” from someone close to you in order to better your relationship? How did that work out?
